The Supreme Court has started holding press briefing at 5:00pm everyday from today.
In the first press briefing today, Spokesperson for the Supreme Court Narayan Prasad Panthi said the apex court decided to hold press briefing everyday as it would be beneficial for both the court and the press reporters.
Panthi said legal press briefing would enable journalists to understand legal terminologies and disseminate right information regarding the decisions and other activities of the court.
Spokesperson Panthi said out of 308 cases listed on the cause list today, 67 cases were adjudicated.
He said the Supreme Court had 19,605 cases to dispose of.
He said the Supreme Court had disposed of 29.8 per cent cases in the fiscal 2016/17.
