Millennium Plaza Dubai, a luxury accommodation along Sheikh Zayed Road, has confirmed its participation at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) this year and will focus on capturing a bigger share of the flourishing markets that are growing in visitor arrivals to the UAE.
This includes the Chinese tourists who are expected to soar in numbers in the next three years. According to data released by Colliers International ahead of Arabian Travel Market, Chinese arrivals to the GCC will increase 21% to 2021, rising to 2.5 million visitors annually. The data predicts that Saudi Arabia will experience the highest proportionate increase in arrivals from China, followed by the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait.
Nemo Acimovic, General Manager of Millennium Plaza Dubai, comments: “More and more Chinese citizens are travelling abroad and are choosing to visit the Emirates because of the ease in visa requirements, leisure attractions and business opportunities. Dubai is already a dynamic, well planned and well thought of city and we can only improve ourselves and the manner in which we target and adapt and the best way to achieve this is through networking. Our presence at ATM will help us connect and meet the right partners who will promote our services and facilities especially to the Chinese travellers who seek luxurious properties in prime location that offers world class hospitality.”
The 5-star alcohol free property continues to improve its facilities to cater to the changing demands of travellers and provide guests with a new level of experience. Earlier this year, the hotel unveiled the new look of its lobby, offering convenience and comfort, where residents and visitors can relax, socialize or do work-related tasks while checking-into or checking out from the hotel.
Improvements are also underway to deliver another outsourced dining concept and on the hotel’s Presidential Suite located on the 60th floor which when completed will give the hotel an edge over the growing competition along the strip of Sheikh Zayed Road.
“We have a robust and definitive business plan for this year. The action plan is to stay ahead of competition as we have done in 2017. Although we are seeing signs of recovery on the market, the ever growing supply over a demand, in the ramp up to 2020 Expo, continues to impact on desired expectations, however the interest for the region is continuing to grow and we are hoping to somewhat capitalize on that, with our favourable position on Sheikh Zayed Road and close to Emirates Towers metro station,” added Acimovic.
The team of Millennium Plaza Dubai will be exhibiting along with Millennium & Copthorne MENA at Stand No HC0650, Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, during the four-day ATM exhibition taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from April 22 to 25, 2018.
