Meet the contestants of Bigg Boss Marathi

After becoming popular in Hindi, Bangla, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil, the Marathi version of Indian reality show Bigg Boss kicked off on Sunday evening. The first season of Bigg Boss Marathi will be hosted by actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar. In the premiere episode, Mahesh introduced the audience to fifteen popular Marathi celebrities who will live in the Bigg Boss house for 100 days.

Resham Tipnis was the first contestant to enter Bigg Boss Marathi. The actor is a known face having acted in Marathi and Hindi serials and films. She has appeared in films like Baazigar and Salman Khan's Jai Ho. She was also seen in serials like Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, Tu Tu Main Main, Satrangi Sasural and many others.

Vineet Bhonde was the second contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house. The actor is known for his remarkable comic timing.

Aastad Kale and Jui Gadkari were the third and the fourth contestants, respectively. The duo shared screen space in the show Puducha Paul.

As we know Bigg Boss is a show full of entertainment and controversy, the first season of Bigg Boss Marathi will host controversial personality, Anil Thatte. Anil, who was a journalist, used to run a Marathi publication called Gaganbhedi, which was all about scoops, scandals and vulgar jokes. It would be interesting to see how he would perform in the house.

Smita Gondkar was the sixth contestant to enter Bigg Boss Marathi. The actor is currently awaiting the release of her Marathi film Light Ek Kaloakh.

Aarti Solanki was the seventh contestant of Bigg Boss Marathi. She has appeared in Dubhang (2011) and Saha Gun (2017).

Bhushan Kadu was the eighth contestant and a known face in the Marathi entertainment industry. The actor has appeared in films like Mast Challay Aamcha, Dagdabaichi Chal and Batti Gul Power Full.

Usha Nadkarni was the ninth contestant of the reality show. A popular face in the Marathi entertainment industry and Bollywood, Usha is the oldest contestant to enter Bigg Boss. She has films like Rustom and Ventilator to her credit. In television, she rose to prominence with Pavitra Rishta.

Megha Dhade was the tenth contestant on Mahesh Manjrekar's show. Megha made her acting debut with Marathi movie Matter in 2012.

Sai Lokur, who appeared in Kapil Sharma's debut film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, was the 11th contestant on the show.

Pushkar Jog, best known for his Marathi films, was the 12th contestant on Bigg Boss Marathi. The actor is waiting for the release of Ti and Ti.

Rutuja Dharmadhikari, who gave a thrilling performance on stage, was the 13th contestant.

Marathi actor Sushant Shelar was the 14th contestant of Bigg Boss Marathi.

And last but not the least, Rajesh Shringarpore, who has Murder 3 (2013) and Sarkar Raj (2008) to his credit, was the 15th contestant of the first season of Bigg Boss Marathi.
