Robert Nick D'Antonio, of Monaca, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Lakeview Assisted Living Facility, Darlington Pa. He was born on October 5, 1932, in West Aliquippa, to the late Nicolangelo and Mariangelo (Rossi) D'Antonio. Bob was a Corporal in the U. S. Army, a fork lift operator at Vasco Teledyne and a painter of houses, most importantly a devoted husband to Lena (Taormina) D'Antonio for 66 years and father to three sons and a daughter. A proud, kind and gentle man who was loved by all and will be forever missed. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony D'Antonio; five brothers and wives, Sylvan and Theresa D'Antonio, Patsy and Elaine D'Antonio, Adam Tonio, Eddie and Kay Tonio, and Joe and Mary Jane D'Antonio; two sisters and husbands, Cecelia and Dick Lucci, and Nellie and Mike D'Agostino; and two stepsisters, JoAnn Kristian and Patty Legge. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lena; son and daughter-in law, Robert and Kathie D'Antonio; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Jeff Bentel; son, Chris D'Antonio; daughter-in-law, Geraldine D'Antonio; brothers-in-law, Sunny Kristian and Aldo Legge; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724) 728-4000, where departing prayers will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military honors by the Beaver County Special Unit at 10:45 a.m. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice and Lakeview Assisted Living Facility for their compassionate care.
