Jairam Thakur congratulates C’wealth Games medalists

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday congratulated the medal winners from the state in the Commonwealth Games.

Thakur called Anjum Moudgil to congratulate her for winning silver medal in the women's 50 meter rifle event in the Commonwealth Games.

The Chief Minister said this was a remarkable achievement and she has brought laurels to the country and the state. He added the people of the state were proud of her achievement. He wished her more success and expressed hope that she would perform even better in the international events in the years to come.

He also congratulated Vikas Thakur hailing from Hamirpur district of the state for winning Bronze medal in weightlifting event in the CWG.

The Chief Minister said this was a remarkable achievement by Vikas Thakur and people of the state were proud of his achievement. Vikas would certainly be an inspiration for the young generation to work hard for success in their lives, he added.
