The BOV Premier League trophy.
The Malta Football Association has decided to revise the last-day fixtures of the 2017/18 BOV Premier League that were announced earlier on Monday.
This revision has been made to ensure that the teams involved in the title race as well as the three clubs still in contention for fourth place (which could potentially mean a Europa League spot) play their fixtures at the same time.
The matches involving the two BOV Premier League title contenders, Valletta and Balzan, level at the top on 55 points will kick off simultaneously at 4pm, this Saturday.
Valletta meet Gżira United at the National Stadium while Balzan face Hibernians at the Hibernians Stadium.
Birkirkara against Ħamrun Spartans and Floriana's fixture against Lija Athletic are also scheduled for Saturday with both the Stripes and Greens seeking the fourth place which could guarantee them a Europa League berth.
Three matches will take place on Friday with those involving the relegation hopefuls – St Andrews, Tarxien Rainbows, Mosta and Naxxar Lions – kicking off at 6pm.
