Sacred and Profane, a solo exhibition by Danilo Arata, an Italian pilot with a passion for photography, is currently on at the Malta Society of Arts, Valletta.
It features a collection of photographs shot by Arata during his travels around the globe while working as a pilot and reflect his fascination towards diverse cultures and their societies. His photos show people, humanity and what makes individuals across the globe the same and unique at the same time, irrespective of the environmental influences and vulnerability created by their respective societal norms.
Arata’s aim is to stimulate discussion about diversity and respect towards one another, irrespective of origin.
The exhibition is curated by Marisabelle Grech.
Sacred and Profane may be viewed at the Malta Society of Arts, Palazzo De La Salle, 219, Republic Street, Valletta, until May 3.
