Lockchain, a blockchain-based hotel listing and booking service, has given users deals on rooms that no other site can offer. The company recently claimed that they were able to collectively drop hotel rates by 20% all around the world.
Lockchain lists a wide variety of 5, 4, and 3-star hotels on a public spreadsheet, that then compiles prices from many other popular sites. Lockchain then uses that data and promises to be 20% less expensive than the cheapest on that list.
The company has shown through their data that they sometimes even surpass their promise, reaching 22% on average in the United States, among other places.
Lockchain is supported by their own coin, called LOC, that powers their service and supports their use of the blockchain.
