UP MLC-Election: 10 BJP candidates file their nominations |
 In Uttar Pradesh, 10 BJP candidates today filed their nominations for biennial polls of State legislative council. BJP has given one seat to its ally Apna Dal, whose candidate Ashish Patel filed his papers. Today is the last day of filling nominations and it seems that all candidates will be elected unopposed as only 13 candidates have filed their nominations against 13 seats.
The last day for withdrawal of candidature is Thursday. Voting if needed will take place on the 26th of this month and counting of votes will be held the same day.
