2 nursing homes sealed in Garhwa

A team of district health department sealed two nursing homes in the town on Sunday.

The team led by Dr. B K Bharti,  Dr. Binesh Kumar Singh and Civil Surgeon T Hembrum acted on the directive of Garhwa DC Dr. Neha Arora.

Following a complaint of death of new born babies in both nursing homes, the DC directed the CS to seal the health facilities.

The DC had received a complain about one clinic, that ran beside the Sadar Hospital by Dr. Birendra Kumar, who is posted in the district hospital. Another clinic is run by a BAMS doctors.

Sunita gave birth to a healthy baby at one of the clinics but after four hours, the child died. 

After the death of the child, when the parents wanted to take the body for  the last rites, the hospital management stopped from carrying the body and asked them to pay Rs 16,500. 

Later on with the initiative of DC, the body was freed.
