Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

The Election Commission of India has issued show cause notice to Rashtriya Janata Dal, RJD over non-submission of the annual audit report for the financial year 2014-15.

In its notice, the Commission asked the party to submit its written representation detailing the reasons for the default along with the annual audit report within 20 days from the receipt of the notice. The Commission said, in case the party fails to do so within the stipulated time, it will be liable for action.

In its order issued on 13th of this month, the Commission said, while parties have to submit their audited annual accounts each year by 31st of October, RJD led by Lalu Prasad has not submitted its records for the year 2014-15. The last date for submitting the report was 31st of October, 2015.
