When cops deal with a hit and run, they usually take someone to jail.????This time, they took in two black bear cubs.????A Virginia State Police Officer showed off his haul on Facebook.????Unfortunately, their mother was hit and killed by a car.????The cubs are recovering at the Wildlife Center of Virginia.????They’re eating well and bouncing back.????Both are in the same room as the first two bear cubs of the season, which were taken in just before them.????Staffers say all four cubs will have supervised play time soon.????Wildlife Centers reps say it’s bear season, and they’re coming out of their dens.????So slow down when driving around areas where bears live.????Staffers also say no matter how cute they look, never take an orphaned bear cub home for rehabilitation, even for a short time.????It’s the close contact with humans that screws up their chances of being released back into the wild.????Don’t touch bears.
