Chana futures fall 0.52% on tepid demand

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Chana prices drifted lower by 0.52 per cent to Rs 3,657 per in futures market today as participants cut exposure amid muted demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in April moved down by Rs 19, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 3,657 per with an open interest of 8,540 lots.

Analysts said cutting down of positions by traders due to easing demand in the physical market against sufficient stocks position on increased arrivals from growing regions led to the decline in chana futures.
