Today is the fifth anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing, and Delaware still remembers.

David Leon Moore will run his 10th consecutive Boston Marathon today and the bombings' powerful lesson to him was to never take it, running or life for granted.

Several Delawareans ran the Patriots Day race in 2013, and talked about their reaction to the attack that killed three.

This interactive timeline shows how the bombing unfolded.

And the images from the scene tell a powerful tale of terrorism and suffering, but also heroism.

Delaware has always been well represented in the world's oldest footrace, but it was especially evident the year after the bombing.

Two years later, at the same time jurors began considering whether Dzhokhar Tsarnaev gets life in prison or the death penalty, 69 Delawareans participated.

Today's 122nd running is already underway, but runners will cross the finish line throughout the day.
