Cathy Sue Hodgens, 65, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the First Southern Baptist Church of El Dorado with Pastor John Harms officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.
Cathy’s life began on Dec. 19, 1952, the daughter of Melvin and Betty (Shoopman) Althouse in El Dorado. She graduated from El Dorado High School with the Class of 1970. Cathy was a bookkeeper for CDH and also owned and operated Kansas Kabins. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a hard worker and enjoyed remodeling jobs and painting. In her spare time Cathy would occasionally play golf. She also enjoyed softball, dancing, gardening, Scrabble and Saturday family nights.
Her loving family includes: her daughters, Cami Jones of Augusta, Lesa (Mike) Rumsey, and Staci Jones, all of El Dorado; brother, Terry (Linda) Althouse, sister, Linda Althouse, all of El Dorado; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way; also her fur babies, Sassy, Buffy and Pippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cindy Alfaro.
