Five players and one head coach will represent the area at the annual Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Assocation North-South All-Star Games to be held at Olentangy Liberty High School and Denison University on Friday.
Sandy Valley's Dan Bartholomew and Malvern's Mark Mayle will represent the North in the Division III-IV contest at Olentangy Liberty. Sandy Valley head coach Gary Offenberger will be one of the coaches for the North along with Ayersville's Jaymes Zachrich.
The contest is set for around 8 p.m. with the Division I-II game starting at 6:30 p.m.
Dover's Jordyn Kiser and West Holmes' Sammie Hall will play for the North in the Division I-II contest and Hiland's Angela Troyer will compete for the the North in the Division III-IV game. Both contests will take place at Denison.
The DI-II game begins at 6:30 with the Division III-IV game at 8.
Meanwhile, the 2017-28 OHSBCA boys academic teams have been announced and Tuscarawas Central Catholic, coached by Ty Miller, came in fifth with a 3.87 grade point average.
