- Beyonce made history as the first black woman to headline the Californian festival
She pulled out of headlining Coachella a year ago, after revealing she had become pregnant with twins Rumi and Sir.
But Beyonce, 36, proved the wait was worth it during her long-awaited debut performance at the music festival Saturday night, as she enjoyed a Destiny's Child reunion with former bandmates Michelle Williams, 37, and Kelly Rowland, 37, at the spectacular show.
The 36-year-old, who also performed with sister Solange and husband, rapper Jay-Z, opened the show as she sauntered on stage in a flowing, gold Egyptian themed ensemble - which she quickly ditched in favor of a pair of tiny jean shorts, shimmering knee-high boots, and a yellow sweatshirt which bore her initials.
'Coachella, y'all ready?' she asked before opening to Crazy In Love.
And fans went wild as the Drunk In Love singer was joined by her bandmates Michelle, 37 and Kelly 37, to perform the iconic girlband's hits, opening with Charlie's Angels hit Independent Women, followed up with a storming rendition of Say My Name.
The trio oozed confidence as they prowled the stage in glittering camouflage outfits with Bey flashing her cleavage in an asymmetric jumpsuit.
Michelle flashed her incredible abs in a tiny crop-top and leggings while Dilemma hitmaker Kelly also flaunted her toned waist in a cropped vest top and hotpants.
The trio last performed together at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show, after going on hiatus to pursue solo careers in 2003 and finally disbanding three years later.
Kelly Michelle came out towards the end of their former bandmate's set, delighting the crowd with performances of Lose My Breath and Soldier.
Beyonce said: 'My sisters! Please give it up for Kelly and Michelle. I love y'all.'
After they left the stage, Solange then made an appearance to dance along to 'Get Me Bodied'.
She was also joined by her husband - with whom she has daughter Blue Ivy, six, and twins Rumi and Sir, 10 months - for their 2006 collaboration 'Deja Vu' before Jay quickly exited the stage in time for her to sing 'Run the World (Girls)' ahead of bringing out Kelly and Michelle.
After Solange left the stage, Beyonce also departed but returned for a two-track encore of Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) and Love on Top.
The singer told the crowd: 'I'm so happy that I am here. I was supposed to perform at Coachella [last year] but I ended up getting pregnant — thank God! So I had time to dream and dream and dream with two beautiful souls in my belly...
'Thank you guys for sharing this with me. I hope y'all enjoyed the show.'
Beyonce's devoted fans could hardly contain themselves as she sang hits Formation and Sorry before breaking out to perform a rather bizarre stunt with her back-up dancers.
After commanding her male back-up dancers to make her laugh, she then shocked audience goers by shouting alongside her female dancers, 'Suck my balls!'

In another brave stunt, Beyonce sang Drunk In Love from atop a crane that stretched out over the audience before returning to the stage for a hip-hop medley.
For her rendition of I Care, Beyonce was joined by a guitarist on stage momentarily as she showed off her impressive vocals in a sexy PVC ensemble and thigh-high boots.
During the medley, DJ Khaled came over the speakers and said: 'After tonight, Coachella gotta rename Coachella the Beychella. New name alert: Beychella!'
A costume change of black leather bodysuit and boots allowed the band to take centre stage, before Beyonce returned for Don't Hurt Yourself, I Care, 'Partition, Yonce and Baby Boy, before delighting the crowd with her first performance of Check on It in five years.
Fans rejoiced last year when Beyonce was announced as one of the headliners for Coachella 2017.
But the singing sensation was forced to pull out after becoming pregnant with her twins, citing doctor's concerns.
The pop star and her husband Jay-Z welcomed Rumi and Sir in June 2017.

Fortunately, for fans of the Crazy In Love singer, she has returned to the music extravaganza.
Prior to her performance, the pop star rallied up the BeyHive as she promised she had a 'special show' up her sleeve.
'I am so excited to see the BeyHive tonight at Coachella. We have been working hard and have a special show planned for you so please be safe and stay hydrated.
'We need your energy! There will be an hour intermission before my performance, so mark your spot, charge your phones, grab your drinks. Can't wait to see y'all at 11:05pm!', she said on social media prior to her performance.
