SURYAPET: Union minister for petroleum and natural gas Dharmendra Pradhan said that Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana scheme would benefit around 20 lakh poor persons in Telangana.
He came to Suryapet on Saturday in view of Ambedkar birth anniversary celebrations. He garlanded Ambedkar statue and participated in mass meals at Upendhar House located at 19th ward. He inaugurated the scheme at Suryapet district head quarters and sanctioned another 300 gas distributor agencies to the state in this regard.
He said that beneficiaries would be identified from April 20 to May 5 through Ujjwala Mela under Gramina Swaraj Abhiyan scheme across the country. District joint collector D Sanjiva Reddy, former central minister Dattatreya, BJP state president Laxman, gas distributors Jayakrishna participated.
