A step towards green and clean environment

National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED), a national level cooperative and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), a Maharatna PSU, on Saturday signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Production and Marketing of compressed Bio-gas / Bio-cng and Bio-manure. This is an initiative by NAFED and IOCL towards a pollution free environment. The primary aim of this noble initiative is towards social cause i.e. to educate the farmers not to burn their farm waste and generate revenue by using their farm waste for production of bio-gas/CNG and bio-manure, generate rural employment, less dependence on polluting fuels and creating a pollutionfree environment for everyone. The MOU was signed by Executive Directors of NAFED and IOCL in the august presence of Mr Sanjiv Singh, Chairman, IOCL, Mr Sanjeev Kr. Chadha, MD, NAFED and Mr Sunil Kumar Singh, AMD, NAFED at IOCL Bhawan, New Delhi.
