BENGALURU: There could be some relief from the blazing heat that has the city on edge as the meterological department has predicted thundershowers over Bengaluru and certain parts of coastal and interior Karnataka over the next three days. With temperatures hovering in the mid 30's, the heat is all that Bengalureans are able to discuss during the daytime.

According to an all India weather bulletin issued by the Indian Meterologica Department (IMD), thundershowers with gusty winds are likely to occur in interior parts of the state. Bengaluru, in IMD forecasts, is included in the South Interior Karnataka region of forecasting.

The Bengaluru division of IMD on Saturday forecast thundershowers over the city for the next two days with rains likely to occur in the evening or night. However, this might not drag the temperature down during the day as the forecast predicted that the heat would continue.  "The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 22 and 35 Degrees celsius," the forecast said.

On Saturday, rainfall was recorded in some areas of Belagavi, Shivamogga and Chikka Mangaluru districts. More rainfall is predicted in these districts and the areas around Bengaluru in the next two days.
