Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Central Bureau of Investigation officials today said two persons were arrested for allegedly trying to bribe a Customs officer.

According to officials, a tempo carrying smuggled goods, including mobile accessories, valued at 4 crore rupees was intercepted by a Customs official near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in south Mumbai.

Following the incident, Rajendra Singh Rajpurohit, director of a firm called Avista Multi Trade Pvt, along with his brother Manav Jagarwal, came forward to claim the goods.

Later a custom broker, Himanshu Ajmera, came to meet the Customs official claiming to be a representative of Avista Multi Trade and allegedly offered him a bribe. A trap was laid and Ajmera and Jagarwal were nabbed while attempting to bribe the official.

The arrested accused were produced before a special CBI court which remanded them in CBI custody for two days.
