In Uttar Pradesh, a Special CBI court today sent Shashi Singh, second accused arrested in Unnao rape case to four day custody.

Meanwhile, CBI team inspected the crime scene at Makhi Village of Unnao where allegedly the incident of rape happened.

AIR correspondent reports, Shashi Singh another key accused in Unnao Rape Case and a close associate of BJP MLA Kuldeep Sing Sengar, was arrested by CBI yesterday. She was being interrogated at zonal office of agency at Lucknow.

She was produced in local CBI court in the evening today. The investigating agency requested for ten days remand but court granted four day custody.

Shashi Singh is accused of luring the girl and taking her to accused MLA. Victim’s mother has also alleged in the FIR filed in this case that Shashi singh was present at the spot when the incident happened.

After getting remand CBI will now try to cross-examine the statements given by accused MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in presence of Shashi Singh.

Meanwhile One Special Team of CBI reached Unnao today evening and visited the crime site at Makhi Village. This is the first time after the investigation started that CBI inspected the ground Zero of Unnao Gang rape case.
