Celebration with great fervour at BHEL Bhopal

BHEL, Bhopal on Saturday celebrated the 127th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Bhimrao Babasaheb Ambedkar with great zeal and fervour.

The programme began with garlanding of the statue by DK Thakur, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal.

On this occasion, MS Kinra, General Manager (Quality and HR), all GMs, YU Patil, Ravindra Aind, Officials of SC/ST Welfare Association, various union representatives and large number of township residents were present.

BHEL, Bhopal’s Joint Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes Employees Welfare Association organised the entire programme.  The working committee members MK Bhagat, AK Mahour, DK Jharia, JP Kadope, MK Mandrai, Biswanath Oraon, Shailendra Nanwatkar, Suresh Kumar Khandekar, Subhash Pawar, Bhim Dhurve and RK Kachi were also present in the programme.

Thakur said that ‘Babasaheb dedicated his entire life for the progress of the nation & the society. He was a legendary personality who made significant contribution in building a new India. He possessed extraordinary vision and was incredibly talented. Babasaheb wished to bring about a revolutionary change in the society. He wanted all round development of the nation with equal opportunity to all. Babasaheb dreamt of building a powerful India who could lead the universe.

He wanted the citizen of this country to be socially, financially and politically skilled. He considered India to be a land of abundant resources and the most skilled people. Besides drafting the constitution of the country Ambedkar scripted the noble theme of social equality’.

Thakur requested the gatherings to take inspiration from the life of Ambedkar and resolute to work selflessly for the development of the nation. Let us hold our hands together to transform the dreams of Babasaheb into reality, added Thakur.

He also said that Babasaheb turned his destiny with hard work and we all should follow his footsteps.
