A professor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University has been booked for sexual harassment after a student of the university’s Social Sciences Department filed a case against him, police said on Saturday. It is third case of sexual harassment of woman research scholars at JNU in last two months.

The victim, a fourth year PhD scholar from JNU’s School of Social Sciences, filed a complaint against Professor Ajay Kumar of the same department under IPC Section 354 at Vasant Kunj police station.

This incident comes a few days after another JNU professor Atul Johri was charged for sexual harassment by students. Eight JNU students had then filed complaints against Atul Johri.
