Prabhu visits Mopa airport site

Panaji: Mopa international airport in north Goa will be completed within the stipulated time, Union Minister for Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu said on Saturday.

Mr. Prabhu visited the site of the airport and inspected the work. “This airport will be responsible for growth of the State as this project will create employment opportunities,” the minister said.

Mr. Prabhu also explored the idea of handling air cargo to generate revenue. Besides, he suggested setting up an entertainment park and a business hub in the airport vicinity to give a boost to the commerce sector.
