Ready to hold impartial poll: DC

DC Binod Kumar has assured that the local body election in the district would be held impartially and fearlessly without any violation of the code of conduct.

The DC along with SP Rajkumar Lakra addressing a joint press meet on Saturday said as many as six check posts have been setup besides deployment of women police, video cameras, CCTV etc.

“Cases of violation of the model code of conduct have been filed against three persons. Out of total 46 polling centers, 31 centers are sensitive. 385 employees had been given the polling duties. The number of clusters is 4. The number of voters is 34232,” informed the DC. He said that on the day of election, section-144 would be imposed upto around 200 meters of the polling centers.
