Annual function of BHEL ladies club at Piplani

The Annual Function of BHEL ladies club was celebrated on Friday at BHEL Cultural Hall, Piplani with great zeal and fervour. On this occasion, DK Thakur Executive Director BHEL Bhopal was present as the Chief Guest while Pratibha Thakur President BHEL Ladies Club presided over the programme. All vice-president of various centres run by the club, all general managers and members of ladies’ club were also present in the programme.

Thakur inaugurating the function said that BHEL Ladies Club has carved a niche for itself from the very beginning of its foundation and holds a prominent place in the area of social welfare. He further said that the selfless dedication with which the members of the club has been carrying out social work is praiseworthy.

The club plays a vital role in giving shape to various social works carried out by BHEL under Corporate Social Responsibility, added Thakur. He appreciated the various job-oriented training programmes organised by the club for economically empowering the weaker section of the society with special emphasis on women.

On this occasion, Thakur informed the gathering of various programmes to be held during the year. She said that the club besides providing necessary educational accessories to students also organises various health awareness programme.

She also highlighted the re-union programme held with the earlier president of the club which gave a new momentum to the functioning of the club.

Later, various cultural programme were performed on the occasion which received immense appreciation from all quarters.

The Annual Souvenir of the club ‘Spandan’ was also released on the occasion by the Chief Guest.
