ALLAHABAD: Breaking his silence over the Unnao rape case, UP chief minister
Yogi Adityanath on Friday said the law is same for everyone and criminals would be dealt with firmly howsoever influential they might be. He said the state government has not deviated from its zero-tolerance policy against crime and corruption.
“Jaanch jaari hai, koi bhi doshi bach nahi payega chahe jo bhi ho (The probe is on, guilty will not be spared),” Yogi told reporters at Kasaipur village in Chitrakoot district.
The CM said soon after the
rape survivor met him, a special investigation team (
SIT) was constituted to probe the matter.
“It was on the basis of the SIT report that policemen and doctors were suspended and the matter was handed over to
CBI,” he added.
