Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Mobile Internet and SMS services have been suspended in four districts of Punjab for the next 24 hours following group clashes at Phagwara. These are Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Nawanshehr (SBS Nagar).

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony. He warned of stringent action against anyone found disturbing law and order in the state.

The Chief Minister announced that the state government would bear the entire expenses for the medical treatment of all those injured in the clashes.
