Abrupt changes in weather disrupt life, damage crop

Abrupt changes in the weather condition continue to disrupt normal life and damaging crops across the State.The frequent changes in the weather conditions have been witnessed in the past 5-6 days. Hot and humid conditions along with the heavy and light showers and thunder lightning is the prevalent pattern across the state.

On Friday during the day rainfall was not witnessed in the city. City is likely to witness dust storms in the next 24 hours. The weather conditions remained hot and humid and partially clouded and in the next 24 hours same weather conditions would prevail.

The city recorded day temperature at 37.3 degree Celsius.

The major cities recorded moderate temperature. Indore recorded day temperature at 37.4 degree Celsius, Jabalpur recorded day temperature at 37.2 degree Celsius and Gwalior recorded day temperature at 37.1 degree Celsius.

At around 40 degree Celsius highest day temperatures were recorded in Khargone and Khandwa. Hail storm was witnessed at few places in the state in the past 24 hours.

Gwalior, Jabalpur and Chambal divisions recorded significant decrease in temperatures in the past 24 hours. The highest amount of rainfall was recorded at 2 cm in Anuppur. Tarana, Indore and Kotma recorded at 1 cm of rainfall.Several regions are likely to receive light showers and thunder lightening in the next 24 hours. The regions are likely to receive rainfall are Badwani, Alirajpur, Dhar, Indore, Khandwa, Dewas, Sehore, Bhopal, Raisen, Vidisha, Hoshangabad, Burhanpur, Chindwara, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Balaghat, Jabalpur, Mandla, Anuppur, Sagar, Shahdol, Umaria, Betul, Singroli, Harda, Dindori, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ujjain, Jhabua, Sidhi, Rew, Satna, Panna, Agar districts.
