CM Devendra Fadnavis and activists of several political parties paid homage to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 127th birth anniversary amid police bandobast at many places in the city. The chief minister, who garlanded the Ambedkar statue at Samvidhan Square on Saturday, reiterated his government’s commitment to move on the path shown by Dr Ambedkar. The Congress city unit too scheduled a march led by ex-MP Vilas Muttemwar and city Congress president Vikas Thakre from Zero Mile to the Samvidhan square but were stopped for security reasons
