Parts of Thane to face 24-hr water cut on Monday

THANE: Residents who receive water from tanks installed at Tedki Bungalow and Gaondevi will have to face a 24-hour water cut on Monday as the TMC has planned to carry out repairs of the main pipeline.
The areas affected will be Ram Maruti raod, Masunda lake, Kharkar Ali, Mahagiri, Nagsen Nagar, Khartan road, Subhash road, Chendani Koliwada, Thane west station, Dada Patil wadi road, B-cabin road, Charai, St. John school road, Panchpakhadi, Namdeowadi and Bhakti temple road. Supply will be affected from Monday 9am to Tuesday 9am. Ravindra Khadtale, head of the water department at TMC, said, “These areas used to get water from Tekdi Bungalow and Goandevi water tank. However, now we will be taking a connection from the BMC. So, work will affect the supply.”
