CM dedicates India’s 2nd largest Start-Up Incubation Centre

Chief Minister Raman Singh on Friday  dedicated the country's second largest Start-Up Incubation Centre '36 Inc' in the capital.

The Start -Up industrialists are provided with ultra-modern techniques and latest gadgets. The Centre consists of 3-D printers, laser cutter, electronic testing and multi-media construction facilities. 125 Start-Up industrialists started their works immediately after the launch of the kendra.

The Chief Minister while encouraging the budding Start-Up industrialists said that if they work with total dedication they will definitely attain success.

He wished the youth a bright future and added that the State Government would co-operate with them in their endeavours.

Singh said that opening of this Centre is an innovative step by the State.

He said that this is the second biggest Centre in the entire country. Industry Minister Amar Agrawal, Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Chairman  Chagan  Mundhra, Chief Secretary  Ajay Singh, Information Technology Department  Principal Secretary  Aman Kumar Singh, Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Ayog, New  Delhi  Mission Director  Raman Ramanathan, CHiPS Chief Executive Officer Alex Paul Menon   , '36 Inc' Incubation Centre Chief Executive Officer  Rajeev Rai were also present.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated five new products developed by the  Start-Up industrialists.

He added that the establishment of '36 Inc' will help in taking the idea of Prime Minister Narendra Modi  forward and  is a positive move. The '36 Inc' Incubation Centre had been selected out of 2, 000 applications received from across the country.

CHiPS CEO Alex Paul Menon said that this is the first 'Incubation-cum-Accelerator' Centre established by Chhattisgarh State Government. '36 Inc' institution will function as ' 'Incubation-cum-Accelerator'  hub for the entire State. '36 Inc' Centre has Speed Prototyping Lab which is the latest in the country.

Notably, Chhattisgarh has started adapting the best policy practices from the fastest growing entrepreneurial eco-systems, like in Singapore and the Silicon Valley, to accelerate entrepreneurial growth to provide a major push to the 'Startup Chhattisgarh' programme, officials informed.

It is now aggressively inviting new entrepreneurs, investors and Startup leaders from across the globe to become part of the Startup ecosystem.

The Government also has plans to establish state-of-the-art innovation/research infrastructure at the universities and colleges in emerging fields such as biotechnology and Internet of Things (IoT), Agriculture and Food Processing so that innovators can build new products.

It also has plans to establish district specific knowledge banks to bring all the entrepreneurial opportunities in food processing, manufacturing and value addition etc under one roof.
