The Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited and the Associated Producers of Telugu Movies entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday for screening Telugu movies and new movie trailers through the A.P. FiberNet.

AP FiberNet CEO A.S. Dinesh Kumar said theirs was a first-of-its-kind company in the country. The services were being provided through 12,000 cable operators and 1,200 MSOs. Virtual classrooms would be organised using AP FiberNet for the benefit of the students.

The MoU with the cine producers was mutually beneficial. The films that were not released in theatres could also be beamed through the FiberNet. People could book cinema tickets using the FiberNet services, he said.

Film producer Dil Raju said the AP FiberNet would help promote the small producers and screen the movies that failed to screen so far. The MoU would also help promote short films, he added. Film producers K.S. Rama Rao, Kodali Venkateswara Rao and others spoke.

Meet Lokesh

The producers later met Panchayat Raj and IT Minister N. Lokesh. Responding to their plea, the Minister promised all possible help to the film industry.
