Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari goes 'missing' for six hours

VISAKHAPATNAM: Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari, who recently joined Telugu Desam Party (TDP) from YSRCP allegedly went missing for almost six hours on Friday in Visakhapatnam agency due to inclement weather. Disconnected even from mobile signals, an aide of Eswari was scared and police got tense because the area being a Maoist hub.

However, everybody heaved a sigh of relief when she returned by night. According to sources, Eswari had a scheduled visit to Darakonda, Galikonda and Sileru of GK Veedhi mandal. She along with a few others started early in the morning and after lunch at Daralamma temple in Darakonda area, she reached Sapparla village at about 2 pm.

Sources informed TNIE that she was not able to leave Sapparla village which was cut off due to heavy rain. Her mobile signal lost the connection due to the inclement weather and interior village. However with great difficulty,  she reportedly reached Galikonda, and contacted her residence and followers at Paderu.
