Woman activist held, 11 IEDs recovered in Jharkhand

Eleven IEDs were recovered and a woman activist of a group was arrested, following an encounter, in two separate incidents in today, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police launched a massive search operation in under station of district and recovered the IEDs, SP Surendra Kumar Jha said.

Jha said police suspects that the IEDs were meant for use during the scheduled to be held on April 16.

In another incident in district, the woman activist of a group was held following an encounter in under station of the district, police said.

Police have recovered two pistols, 80 live cartridges, six from the area, a said.
