Throngs of Jets fans expected to invade Minneapolis–St. Paul

The Jets play games three and four of the opening round of the NHL Playoffs next week in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Shortly after Friday’s game ends, hundreds of Jets fans will pack their white shirts and jerseys and head across the border to catch one — or both — of the tilts.
One of those fans is Perry Gilmour, who has been following the Jets for years. He’ll be heading down with five others, including his son.
“It’ll be crazy,” Gilmour said. “You’re going to see a lot of white in those stands.
“Security may be coming to talk to us.”
But there are some things to remember if you do plan to go to Minnesota.
Canadian Border Services reminds fans to plan ahead and be prepared when it comes to passports, wait times and purchases.

There is also a winter storm warning issued along the route to Saint Paul, which means drivers will have to be ready with winter gear.
On Wednesday night the Winnipeg Jets won the franchise’s first ever playoff game with a 3-2 victory.
