Water supply to hill-slope areas sought

MLAs from the city wanted the Municipal Corporation to improve water supply to hill-slope areas.

At a meeting with Commissioner M. Hari Narayanan on Wednesday evening, MLAs brought to his notice problems related to vendors zone, cremation grounds, pension and SHG-linkage and improving the condition of markets. The Commissioner assured them that there would not be problem in water supply till June.

Government Whip P.G.V.R. Naidu wanted top priority given to grievance redress. V. Ramakrishna Babu wanted de-silting of Mudasarlova reservoir.

Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy asked the Commissioner to improve facilities in cremation grounds.

Responding to Palla Srinivasa Rao’s suggestion that water supply be made in specific timings, the Commissioner said it was not possible owing to technical reasons.

P. Vishnu Kumar Raju and Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar spoke on problems of vendors’ zone and improving conditions in markets.
