Aravind Kumar Jain,
commissioner of railway safety (central circle) carried out
annual safety inspection of
Konkan Railway (KR) route for two-days from Thursday.
Sanjay Gupta, chairman and managing director, directors and respective heads of departments accompanied him.
On Thursday, Jain carried out inspection of
Nathuvadi tunnel,
Bijghar cutting,
Karanjadi station, level crossing gate, points and crossings and Panval viaduct in Roha – Madgaon section.
At Ratnagiri, Konkan Railway staff demonstrated various rescue skills which was well appreciated. Further inspection of Khadem cutting, Mudgeri Tunnel, bridge, Karwar station and level crossing gate were carried out on April 13 on the Madgaon-Surathkal section. Jain expressed satisfaction over safety standard maintained by Konkan Railway to ensure the safety of trains and passenger and advised them to continue with the same in future.
