Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has decided to venture into a joint development of integrated Industrial Model Township (IMT), Sohna under the Public Private Partnership (PPP).

“HSIIDC is exploring the possibility of partnering with the world’s best in the field of development of state of the art industrial infrastructure that would usher in a new era of rapid development, investment and employment opportunities in the region, thereby uplifting the standard of living of the people in the area. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled to be held on April, 30,” said a spokesman of the Corporation.

He said that the Corporation has proposed to develop IMT spread across 1292 acres of land through PPP mode. The proposed IMT will span around to the north of Kundli Manesar Palwal (KMP) Expressway in district Nuh.

The site has immense locational advantage. It is located at the intersection of NH248A and KMP Expressway about 36 km south of the Sohna Chowk, Gurugram. The State Government’s recent announcement of setting up of a five km long elevated corridor from Subash Chowk to Sohna Road after Badshapur village would further reduce the travel time to millennium city, Gurugram. It forms part of the National Capital Region and is located at approximately 50 km from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, said the spokesman.

He further said that the proposed IMT is envisaged for development of this industrially backward region of Mewat through a Joint Development Model wherein expertise, efficiency and financial resources of private player would help in setting up of world class Industrial Township thus, unveiling the untapped Industrial Potential of the region. In view of this, potential developers and operators who specialize in the development and management of large scale integrated industrial townships are being invited to join, said he.

HSIIDC has already invited expression of interest (EOI) for development of IMT. HSIIDC, the Haryana Government's nodal agency for development of industrial infrastructure in the state, has already developed six IMTs, including at Manesar, Bawal, Rohtak and Nuh, he added.

The spokesman said that the private participation will be sought through fair and transparent mechanism of International competitive bidding (ICB) by way of e- Auction. Buoyant by the huge success of e-auction of its commercial site at Gurugram, HSIIDC expects this site to attract leading developers.

The bid process is divided into two stages with stage I-Technical Qualification Stage and stage II- e- Auction. In order to be eligible to participate in stage II (auction), the bidders shall have the financial capability i.e. an aggregate networth and annual turnover of Rs 1000 crores and 500 crores respectively in case of single bidder and Rs 1000 crores each in case of consortium apart from technical expertise as set forth in RFP to undertake project of such magnitude, he added.
