Nagpur: A 24-year-old man, identified as Hemant Kumar Saini, was arrested from Rajasthan by Sakkardara police on Wednesday for allegedly harassing various authorities of private colleges offering courses on fire and safety.
Sushant Kumar Meshram, heading one such city-based institution offering course on fire and safety, was being harassed by Saini before making a demand of Rs 15 lakhs for discontinuing the nuisance of defaming his college. A similar offence has been registered against Saini at Jaripatka police station following complaint of the head of another such institution.
Police said Saini, an alumni of Meshram’s institution in 2013, was left miffed after he failed to get a job after completion of the course. In order to take revenge, Saini created a
group of heads of the institutions of such fire and safety colleges in city around a fortnight ago and started posting derogatory remarks regarding his former institution and it’s management. He also posted objectionable comments regarding Meshram’s family members too.
Sakkardara police, having registered an offence, ensured Saini was tracked down and taken into custody. He has been remanded to police custody for four days.
