Pedestrian hit on Chestnut Hill Road near Newark

One person was taken to the hospital Friday night after being struck by a vehicle on East Chestnut Hill Road (Del. 4) near Newark.

East Chestnut Hill Road was closed westbound as Delaware State Police investigated the crash, reported about 10 p.m.

Information on the victim's condition was not immediately available.
