Fire destroys home under construction in Harbeson: fire officials

A home under construction in Harbeson was destroyed in a fire early Friday morning, according to Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.

Firefighters from Lewes, Indian River, Rehoboth Beach, Milton, Millsboro and Georgetown responded to the fire on Lone Palm Way off Hollymount Road west of Lewes at about 1:45 a.m.

The home was fully engulfed in flames, and firefighters were on the scene for over two hours, a Rehoboth Beach fire official said. 

The house was a loss and no injuries were reported. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
