Street play pays tribute to victim of traffic accident
The traffic police of Ranchi, in association with a local theatre group, organised a street play on traffic safety rules at a city mall on Thursday. The group, which comprises current and ex-students of St Xavier's College, recently lost an active member, Rishab Singh, in a road accident on March 30. "We lost a dear member and a great friend to a traffic accident. Since we all were actively involved in street plays all through our college life, we will use it as a tool to educate others about road safety. Carelessness cost us the life of a young friend, and we don't want to let it happen to anyone else," said Abhishek Singh, a post-graduate student of political science from St Xavier's. Traffic SP Sanjay Ranjan Singh was also present at the event and said that he will ask the group to perform regularly to spread awareness about the issue .
