In Maharashtra, ruling BJP today won four out of six municipal councils. BJP claimed victory in Jamner, Vaijapur, Devrukh and Ajra with highest number of seats in the elections to six municipal councils. State Election Commission today declared that BJP won 49 out of 115 seats.

Narayan Rane-led Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksh won Kankavli while Guhagar Municipal Council was won by a local alliance Shahar Vikas Aghadi. Neither of the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party or Shiv Sena managed to win a single municipal council.
