Only five examples will be built, each at a cost of $353,000.
That’s right, McLaren has built another special edition sports car. Falling in line behind previous bespoke creations like the 570GT MSO Black Collection, the 720S Atlantic Blue, and the 720S Black and Gold, among others, this MSO 570S Spider is a custom build limited to one market exclusively: Canada.
Our neighbors to the north will see just five examples of the bespoke 570S, dubbed the Canada Commission, each with a handful of new visual cues that help separate it from the standard model. The exterior is finished in a unique Silica White paint job. Red exposed carbon fiber, and red and white accents can be seen throughout the body, with Canadian flags replacing the "570S" logo on the door blades, and Canadian Maple Leaf accents on the rear of the vehicle.
The package rides on a set of lightweight, 10-spoke forged wheels finished in a Stealth paint. The special series also includes the MSO Carbon Fibre Exterior pack, and a number of other MSO carbon fiber accents.
In the cabin, a black leather Alcantara finish with a red Alcantara roofline can be seen. The steering wheel is also finished in red Alcantara, with a white "12-o’clock mark," as well as a few subtle maple leaf accenting pieces. Each car will come with a custom plaque signifying its rarity.
The design may be all new, but the same 3.8-liter biturbocharged V8 remains underhood, paired to a seven-speed gearbox producing 562 horsepower (441 kilowatts) and 442 pound-feet (600 Newton-meters) of torque. From a standstill, the 570S will sprint to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 3.1 seconds, and continue on to a top speed of 196 mph (315 kmh).
As mentioned, just five examples of the 570S Canada Commission will be built. McLaren has priced the bespoke creation at a hefty $353,206 CAD.

McLaren Automotive, the British manufacturer of luxury sports and supercars, and Pfaff Automotive Partners, the distributor for McLaren cars in Canada, have partnered to create five very special 570S Spiders that celebrate McLaren’s racing and road-car history in Canada.
Developed using the Bespoke service available from McLaren Special Operations (MSO), which offers almost limitless design possibilities, the 570S Spiders are designated ‘Canada Commission’ and feature a number of unique design elements that pay tribute to McLaren’s Canadian history.
The body paint is Silica White, with exterior trim tinted in red carbon fiber. A white accent stripe on the lower sills, subtle white Canadian flags replacing the ‘570S’ script on the door blades and Canadian Maple Leaf accents on the rear of the vehicle, contrast with 10-Spoke Lightweight Forged Wheels in Stealth Finish. Also featured are Carbon Fibre Exterior Packs, and other MSO Defined Carbon Fibre accents.
Inside, a black leather Alcantara® interior is set off by a red Alcantara® roof liner and red Alcantara® steering wheel with white ‘12-o’clock mark’, as well subtle maple leaf accents. A plaque inside each car identifies it as one of five Canada Commission vehicles.
The 570S Spider features a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine and seven-speed, seamless-shift gearbox, with 570PS and 600Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds and the 204mph top speed are identical to the 570S Coupé, while the top speed with the roof down is 196mph. The 570S Spider employs racecar-style, double-wishbone suspension all-round, with steel springs, twin-valve adaptive dampers and anti-roll bars, delivering exceptional body control and a pure, rewarding drive while maintaining impressive comfort.
Highlights of McLaren’s racing and road-car history in Canada include Bruce McLaren winning three races in a row in the Canadian Sportscar Championship behind the wheel of the McLaren M1B in 1966; Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme finishing first and second respectively at the Canadian Grand Prix in 1968; and the 1-2-3 podium finish at the opening round of the Can-Am Challenge in 1969 by Bruce McLaren, Denny Hulme and John Surtees in McLaren M8B and M12 racecars.
Three of the Canada Commission 570S Spiders will be available for purchase through McLaren Toronto, while one each will be available through McLaren Vancouver and McLaren Montreal. Pricing is $353,206 CAD before freight, PDI and taxes, and orders can be placed immediately.
