Telangana Intermediate first, second year results for 2018 announced

Results of the Intermediate first and second year of Telangana were released on Friday. Declaring the results, Deputy Chief Minister, Kadiyam Srihari said that 70% students cleared the exam while 69% passed in private colleges.

Similarly, Tribal welfare colleges registered 87%, social welfare (86%), residential junior colleges (81%), Model Schools (68%) and Aided colleges (55%).

The pass percentage of of Government colleges increased by nearly 3% while overall all the Government-run institutions registered a better pass percentage than private schools.

Girls pass percentage was at 73.25, far higher than boys who registered 61% in the second year. In first year too girls registered 69% pass, while boys were at 55.66%.

The minister said 57.14% students got A grade while 28.6% got B grade, and 10.77% secured C grade. Only 3.48% got D grade.

Medchal and Komram Beem districts were placed in the first position with 80% and Ranga Reddy district got 77% and took second position in second year results.

The Government Junior Lecturers Association President, P. Madhusudhan Reddy and general secretary V. Babu Rao praised the Government colleges performance and attributed the success to the lecturers.
