IATA Global Aviation Data Management Workshop in Istanbul

The aim of The IATA Global Aviation Data Management Workshop was to showcase IATA’s safety tools and share best practices on how these tools could be used. At the workshop, it was highligted that the number one priority for civil aviation is constantly seeking to further improve safety and the techniques to improve aviation safety have moved beyond the analyses of isolated accidents to data-driven trends analyses, and the interaction between the links in the air transport chain.

 

IATA’s Regional Vice President for Europe, Rafael Schvartzman said: “Aviation is all about global connectivity. In consideration of this vision, states, regions and individual organizations must share safety information to identify common challenges, interaction gaps, and, all together, mitigate safety risks. As IATA, we provide a number of efficient tools to share all this information while ensuring a necessary level of confidentiality to sensitive data”.

 

The CEO of Pegasus Airlines, Mehmet T. Nane said: “As Pegasus Airlines, we also wholeheartedly believe that the number one priority in the aviation sector is to constantly seeking to furter improve safety. This event, organized by IATA, will benefit Turkish civil aviation as well as global civil aviation for proceeding further.”
