Demand apology for discriminatory remarks

District Gangaputra Sangham in its emergency meeting here on Thursday, strongly condemned Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s alleged discriminatory remarks against the fishing community during a visit to Darpally mandal headquarters on Tuesday.

He said the sangham would oppose tooth and nail the admission of people from the Mudiraj community into fishermen societies.

‘Subjected to insult’

He said that in the united Andhra Pradesh, the people from fishing community lived with dignity and pride, but were being subjected to insults, despair and disappointment in Telangana.
