DAYTONA BEACH — Bruce Yari hit a walk-off single with one out in the ninth inning as the Daytona Tortugas defeated the Charlotte Stone Crabs 7-6 on Thursday.
The Tortugas swept the four-game series with the win.
Luis Gonzalez scored the game-winning run after he led off the inning with a single, advanced to second on a single by Tyler Stephenson and then went to third on a groundout.
The Tortugas tied the game 6-6 in the bottom of the seventh when Yari hit an RBI single, bringing home Mitch Nay as part of a two-run inning.
Reliever Jesse Stallings (2-0) picked up the win after he struck out one over one scoreless inning.
Malik Collymore tripled and singled twice, driving in two runs in the win. Stephenson doubled and singled, scoring two runs.
Daytona hosts Jupiter for a three-game series, starting at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
